Strong Futures Scholarship Recipient Guidelines
The Strong Futures Scholarship exists to remove barriers and create access to programs that build confident, capable, and resilient people. Scholarship recipients are expected to honor this opportunity through consistent participation, respectful conduct, and commitment to growth.
Purpose of the Scholarship
The Strong Futures Scholarship is awarded to support people and families who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to personal development, effort, and positive character.
Participation & Attendance
- Scholarship recipients are expected to attend scheduled sessions consistently.
- Families should notify program staff in advance if you are unable to attend.
- Repeated absences without communication may result in a review or loss of scholarship eligibility.
Effort, Attitude & Behavior
- Recipients are expected to participate with effort, respect, and a positive attitude.
- You must follow all program rules and demonstrate respect toward mentors, staff, peers, and facilities.
- Strong Futures maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or unsafe behavior.
Family Commitment & Communication
- Parents/guardians are expected to actively support their child’s participation and growth.
- Open, timely communication with Strong Futures staff is required regarding attendance, concerns, or changes in circumstances.
Transportation
- Reliable transportation to and from program activities is preferred.
- Families are responsible for ensuring their child arrives on time and is picked up promptly.
Representation of Strong Futures
- Scholarship recipients and families represent Strong Futures both inside and outside of program activities.
- Conduct that reflects negatively on the mission, values, or reputation of Strong Futures may result in a review of scholarship status.
Duration, Funding & Review of Scholarship
- Scholarships are awarded for a defined period and are not guaranteed to renew automatically.
- Scholarships are subject to availability of funds.
- Continued eligibility is based on attendance, behavior, effort, adherence to these guidelines, and ongoing funding availability.
- Strong Futures reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue scholarships at its discretion.
Program Policies & Requirements
- All required waivers, forms, and policies must be completed and maintained throughout the scholarship period.
- Families must comply with all safety, health, and conduct policies.
Gratitude & Growth Mindset
- While financial assistance is provided, recipients are encouraged to approach the scholarship with gratitude, responsibility, and a commitment to growth.
- Families may be invited to provide feedback or testimonials to support future scholarship opportunities.
